  • None at all! Your private charter includes a professional, experienced captain who handles all navigation, safety, and piloting. Your only responsibility is to step aboard, relax, and immerse yourself in the luxurious vintage experience.

  • Yes. When you book with us, you are reserving the entire vessel exclusively for your party. Your cruise will only include your guests and your captain, ensuring complete privacy for your outing or special event.

  • To ensure premium comfort, intimate spacing, and compliance with US Coast Guard safety regulations, our charters accommodate a maximum of six (6) guests.

  • Absolutely! We love welcoming families aboard to experience the joy of the water. Please note that infants and children do count toward our strict 6-guest maximum capacity.

  • Safety is our absolute priority. In accordance with US Coast Guard regulations, all children under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket at all times while the vessel is underway. We provide approved infant, child, and adult life jackets on board. If you prefer to bring a personal USCG-approved vest that your child is already comfortable wearing, you are more than welcome to do so.

    • Weather-Related Cancellations: Vintage vessels require favorable conditions for a smooth and safe journey. If the captain determines that weather conditions (such as heavy rain, lightning, high winds, or dense fog) make it unsafe to depart, your cruise will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. We monitor the weather closely and will contact you at least 2 hours prior to departure if a cancellation is necessary.

    • Guest Cancellations: Charters are fully refundable if cancelled at least 7 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Cancellations made between 2 and 7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

  • We depart from the historic Yorktown waterfront. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you exact arrival directions, parking information, and a specific dockside meeting location. We ask that your party arrives 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time so your captain can welcome you aboard promptly.

  • While Vendée features a classic, compact marine head (restroom) for emergency use, space is limited on vintage vessels. We highly recommend that guests utilize facilities onshore prior to boarding the boat.

  • We recommend bringing sunglasses, a sun hat, camera or phone for photos, and a light jacket or sweater, as temperatures can feel cooler on the open water. If your specific package includes alcoholic beverages or you have a custom arrangement, please ensure anyone planning to consume alcohol brings a valid, government-issued photo ID.

  • We provide complimentary refreshments tailored strictly to your selected package (such as our Morning Sunrise pastries and coffee, or the Afternoon Escape chilled beers, sodas and our Sunset Cruise wine, champagne). For custom milestones, weddings, or branded sessions, please contact us directly in advance to discuss specific luxury provisioning requirements or special accommodations.

  • Yes! Vendée is equipped with a premium sound system. You are welcome to connect your personal device via Bluetooth to set the perfect musical backdrop for your voyage.
